EHA105 is a disarmed, hypervirulent Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain used for efficient transfer of binary vectors into plant cells. The methionine-auxotrophic format requires methionine supplementation, providing a nutritional dependency that can help control bacterial persistence after plant co-cultivation; cells are prepared for chemical transformation. It is supplied as 5x50µl, stored at -80°C, and has a stated shelf life of ≥ 15 months.
