GelGreen Nucleic Acid Gel Stain, 10,000X in Water, 200 µl

A sensitive, stable green fluorescent nucleic acid dye designed for precast or post-electrophoresis staining of dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels. GelGreen offers more sensitivity and stability (both hydrolytic and thermal) than SYBR dyes. GelGreen is compatible with gel purification, restriction digest, sequencing and cloning. GelGreen is the safer alternative to comparable DNA stains. Shown by the Ames test and other tests to be nonmutagenic and noncytotoxic, GelGreen carries fewer health risks than ethidium bromide, and is safe for disposal down the drain or in regular trash. It may be visualized using safe, blue light excitation (such as blueGel or blueBox) in addition to UV.
